Hold on to your hats! Bluegrass In The Barn is a fun filled evening filled with good ol’ finger-pickin’, string-slappin’, washboard-scrappin’, bluegrass music. The show features two of Ohio’s premiere bluegrass bands, Sugar Creek Bluegrass, and Honeytown! Hosted by hilarious cast members from the Amish Country Theater Variety show, this show has all the ingredients for a night full of memories. Come join in on the fun!
Sugar Creek Bluegrass
Sugar Creek Bluegrass is an energetic young band from central Ohio made up of brothers and sisters who perform traditional bluegrass, old time, and gospel music inspired by legends like Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley. The band can often be heard on bluegrass radio stations and they have performed live on both ABC and NBC in Columbus, Ohio.
Sugar Creek tours in many states and is honored to be selected as a top-10 youth band to showcase at IBMA in Raleigh, North Carolina in September 2016. Sugar Creek has recorded three bluegrass albums and they are currently working on their first gospel album to be released in early 2017. Come see why Sugar Creek is quickly becoming one of the most popular bluegrass bands in all of Ohio and beyond!
A high energy Americana band based in Kidron, OH are a crowd favorite, playing their unique version of Americana and folk. Honeytown’s inimitable sound combines elements of progressive bluegrass, four-part a capella, classic rock and pop folk with fun instrumentation, keeping listeners engaged and intrigued.
Their eclectic musical mix of both covers and original compositions, unexpected
arrangements and tightly-blended harmonies have won them a fan base all over the Midwest. Their varied instrumentation ranges from fiddle to banjo, washboard to bass ukulele, accordion to percussive trash cans, taking audiences by pleasant surprise.
The show will last approximately 2 hours. Doors to the event open at 6:00 p.m. Includes a 15 minute intermission. Tickets are $19.95 when pre-ordered and $22 at the door. Kids age 11 and under are $9.95. Seating is reserved.
